Yesterday, I was craving for onion rings. But I'm too lazy to go out and buy some from tony romas or outback.
I decided to just make it myself. Cravings satisfied!

Then tonight for dinner, i decided to cook Seafood Pesto. It's an invention of mine. Hahaha. I just put together some crabmeat, shelled scallops, garlic, almonds, cheese and pesto sauce. Super yummy!!!!

Tomorrow it'll be creamy seafood pasta for dinner. Hehehe.

And today, I got another email... together with the 3rd go beyond certificate, I got a $100 cash! yey! hahaha

So I told my 2 friends in the office that I will treat them for lunch (just a mcdo hahaha).. and Bhernzy wants starbucks...

Then I want to buy earrings... hahaha... a simple reminder of my Go Beyond.. nothing super expensive.. just something to remember this Go Beyond Achievement I received.. hahaha

My work friend thought I was pregnant already... wahhhh! I think I'm super fat na... so I'm super desperate to lose weight.

A friend of mine has been using this coffee for months. I really saw great progress on her! She really lost a lot of weight in about 3-4months. And she's continuing to take it til now.

Good thing Nerie told me the coffee is also available here in Singapore. So gora naman ako sa LP to buy this:

ang baked salmon (Daisy's recipe)

been running out of ideas on what to have for dinner.. and Daisy taught me this simple salmon recipe.

first step is to bake the salmon with only calamansi. Then set aside.

Combine mayonaise, crushed/finely chopped garlic (or use garlic press), grated cheese, pepper and all purpose cream

in a baking dish, put the salmon, then top it with the mixture. Then put the breadcrumbs.

Bake in low heat for 15-20minutes.

And a yummy dinner!!!

I think you can also use butterfly prawns instead of salmon.. yum!

paired this with steamed rice and buttered veggies..yummy!

Been unwell since wednesday. Friday was the worst. Yesterday I went out to have my monthly massage thing with Bhernz. It was awesome! Felt a little better after the steam bath and massage.

Then I had to meet Caloy at tanah merah to get our Sundown marathon racepacks. Yes! Kasali ako! Kumusta naman. Hahaha.

We had dinner at Tapa King. Yum! And then we saw the pirates movie. The movie was ok. Was laughing when I saw the mermaids flew/jumped out of water like flying fish. Hahaha.

After that, did some grocery shopping then home. I slept for more than 9hrs. Hurray! Finally a good night sleep.

When I wokeup this morning (or noontime) I was feeling better. Sore throat gone. Clogged nose gone. Just a few sniffles left. :)

I'm super glad I was able to cook brunch - bistek tagalog... And dinner - pinoystyle spaghetti and chicken fingers. Sabi ni Caloy masarap naman. Di ko kasi malasahan. Hirap pala magluto pag walang sense of smell and taste.

Great day. :) some said it was already the end of the world yesterday. Well, guess they're wrong.

Our anniv meal - McDonald's: he had quarterpounder with cheese and I had doublecheeseburger. Plus seaweed fries and cinnamon melts!!! Yummy!!!

Epi-lasik adventure

I'm super tired of wearing glasses or contact lenses. Lots of people recommended Lasik. I read about it. Weighed in my options (and resources). I think I wanna try epi lasik.

I have an assessment checkup on May 30th. Hope everything will be fine and I qualify for the surgery.

There's a new mall opened at Serangoon MRT station. It's 8 stations away from Paya Lebar (where my work is).
We decided to try the Shaw Premiere Cinema and booked the tickets for Fast 5.
The cinema is so sossy! wah lau! reclining seats, with table, and kumot and butler - you can order food inside the theatre!!!

Mother's Day Treat for my one and only Momsie

1st stop: Body scrub and Massage at Body Contours. It's been 3 months since I last had a massage.
2nd stop: JYJY hairdressing salon to have a haircut, hairspa and haircolor.. it's been 7 months since I last went to a hair salon.

3rd stop: This was an accidental stop. Shopping!!! found really great bargains at Isetan! love love love shopping. Dresses are $10 each and blouses are $5!!!

4th stop: Dinner with honey... He was working from home, so we just met at the mall to have dinner :)

5th stop: Coffee and dessert... the movie won't start til 10:35pm, so we had dessert first

6th stop: Movie night - Source Code - enjoyed the movie with my honey :)

Wow! Time flies so fast! Couldn't believe that i've been away from my parents' home for a long time.

I still remember my first few days here.
Bing picked me up at the airport. Caloy was in Sepang watching the F1.
Lousy ordered pizza for lunch. Yay!
The next day bing, RD, Lousy and I went to ikea for shopping. Bing bought me a lamp.
Caloy taught me how to do my laundry.

I think I really improved as a person over the past 5 years. I've learned to be independent. I've travelled a lot.
I met new friends and family.

I'm really thankful that I moved here in Singapore - my new home.

hectic week

We're planning to buy a property in Manila.
We'd like to build a commercial complex (akala mo anlaki laki ng lupa! at akala mo ang yaman yaman namin!)
We're tired of sending money home to our families. And we think this is the best way that we can help them and help ourselves.

So we raised the money to buy the property. Utang dito utang doon :)
We have the money na, then we learned that Dad (my father in law) needed a heart surgery. Andiogram and andioplasty.
it was so hard to send money to the philippines. We have to withdraw the money from the banks (coz there's a daily limit in ATMs)
and then go to Lucky Plaza and send money home.
I was so tired doing this. I went out in the middle of the day to do this. While I'm also still busy with my work.

Wednesday, we both worked from home. We were really tired from all the sending money thing plus work. Then I booked a ticket for Caloy. His sisters requested that if he can come home, he has to. So I booked the evening flight. I couldn't come with him coz we're a little short in the money thing. I told him we barely had money to book his flight.

The night he left, I was so sad I brokedown in tears... I couldn't sleep... I cancelled my OB appointment coz we don't have budget for it already. And to top it all off, I'm 3 days delayed!
I've been testing since 7DPO, but negative. So I figured, I'm really just stressed. That's why AF is late.

Friday came, and finished my work, went to happy hour with my team.
And there.. AF showed up! hahaha....

so we're out again this month... next cycle it is!

Ang TB part 2

As I've suspected, i tested positive for TB... hahaha
I think most Pinoys will test positive... They ordered an X-ray...
I was so scared... see:

After the X-ray, the doctor cleared me. Without giving me any meds... I was so happy...
but when I talked to my friend in the office, Angela, she says she also has clear lungs, but the doctor gave her meds. I said maybe I'm fat? that's why there's no TB danger? hehehe.... or maybe because I'm pinoy and she's a local :P

We don't know. But the good news is I don't have to take the meds! yey!!!

Someone has been diagnosed with TB. On my first day of work for 2011, they say I need to get tested.

Went to the TBCU near Novena to get tested. Only, I went to the wrong clinic :(
Was able to manage and find the correct one (it's just right next to where I went)

Thoughts? Well, why is this happening? I'm so paranoid. I don't want to take the meds for TB. Results will be out tomorrow. Hopefully it's negative. Right now it's red and itchy :(

HK-MO Summer Getaway

It's been more than a year since we last went out of Singapore. So we went to Hong Kong and Macau on July 30-August 3. Just a super short trip. To visit some friends and to tour around.

We flew via Cathay Pacific. We arrived at the HK airport at around 12noon. We were so amazed that there's mountain near the airport (it's been a while since we last saw one). We arrived at the hotel at around 2pm, because apparently, our shuttle bus caters to other hotels also. And we were the last to alight.

We met bing at the hotel and decided to eat out. She took us to the Central, which is in a different island. We rode the ferry. It's so cool that you only need 1 card which is the octopus card to go around HK.

Then we went back to the hotel. Bing and I had a girl talk. While Caloy had a drink with his former boss.

At around 9pm, we went out again and look for some authentic chinese resto. We found one. We ordered dim sum and sweet and sour fish. Very yummy!

The next day is a complimentary half day city tour. We went to avenue of the stars, midlevel peak, fisherman's village, Repulse Bay, and the Jewelry shop.

Then we met bing again at the Silvercord. And we had lunch at Din Tai Fung. Yum yum.
After lunch, we rode the bus going to the Peak Tram station. We rode the tram going up the Peak. It was so cool! We had the view of the 2 main islands of HK. It's a concrete jungle. Then Caloy and I went to see the Madame Tassaud's wax museum. Some picture picture. We were star struck with Ip Man and Lee Kwan Yew. hehehe...

We had dinner at Bubba Gump. Yum yum.

The 3rd day is Macau day tour. Went to the HK-Macau Ferry terminal at around 730AMish. We were a bit lost at first. We didn't know where to go. But eventually we were able to get our tickets. Then we had breakfast at KFC.

The ferry is ok. It's like the ferry from SG-Bintan. It's airconditioned and huge.

We arrived at Taipa. We were again amazed at the place coz all the signs are in Cantonese and Portuguese. Cool!

Then there's always free shuttle buses going to different casinos. It was so cool. We don't need to ride a taxi. So we went to the famous Venetian Macau. It was awesome! So grand and sossy. I loved it! Even the foodcourt seems so sossy. And the mall is awesome! It was legendary.. hehehe..... The casino is ok. Everything is all the same I guess. And I didn't like the smell of smoke.

We also went to the City of Dreams casino. It's just across the Venetian. So we met our tour guide there, and started our Macau city tour.

First stop is the Macau Tower. It was so high! scary! I can't imagine myself doing the bungy jump. I wonder how Tyrelle did it.

Then we went to the St. Paul Church ruins and Macau Museum. At the Museum, we learned that in 70's, the Macau people played the Sipa and the text and piko. We thought they were original in the Philippines. And we were wrong.

After the tour, we went to the Lisboa casino. They gave us a tour of the casino also. Then went to the Wynn Casino to meet Ate Maj.

We had dinner at Il Teatro. And we got a window seat, where we can see the fountain show. Super cool! It was a good thing that the receptionist is a Filipina. She gave us a good table.

Then Ate Maj gave us a tour of the MGM Grand and Wynn Casino. They're all pretty and sossy.

After that we went back to HK again.

On Day 4, we planned on going to the Big Buddha in Lantau island. But we were so tired. So we had lunch with Caloy's ex-teammates. We went to Timesquare in Causeway Bay. We had fun. And we had a different type of chinese food. It was Shanghainese.

After lunch, we decided to visit Disneyland. But it was so damn hot. The first thing we did there was to look for an airconditioned resto. hahaha...

We weren't able to go around the park. We were so tired. And we feel like USS is better because it's new.

Then we went back to Tsim Sha Tsui (near our hotel) to meet Bing and have dinner. We went to the new mall called The One. This time we decided to have Japanese food. So we went to Tonkichi. It was so different and new. We had to grind our own sesame seeds for the tonkatsu sauce. And it's cabbage all you want! yummy yummy cabbage!

Caloy ordered sake. It was nice.

We had a great time in HK and in Macau. It was a wonderful experience.

On Day 5, we had to go back to SG. So we only had time to eat breakfast, pack our bags and checkout.

-super run to catch the bus = jabar
-super run to catch the train = jabar jabar
-on the way to my office building, there was a fire drill... Great! just what I needed! it was so damn hot! = jabar to the max level
-after the fire drill, I felt so sweaty and sticky... I wanted to go home and take another bath!
-decided to go to Lucky Plaza to remit money (coz the exchange rate is high! yay!) But I forgot to withdraw some money... so I had to do it there... and guess what? the ATM only dispenses $10 bill! great!
-I decided to go to another ATM (about 5 mins walk from there)

but on the plus side, my honey also went to LP and we had dinner at Happy V :)

My OB suggested that I get the rubella vaccine. So I did on Feb.22.
And now, we're on the 3rd month... 3rd cycle...

hopefully we'll be successful this time.

Yes! it's our 10th anniversary! :)
went out for dinner at Friday's (yes it's new here in SG)
it's in Heeren Mall... I didn't expect it to be outdoor type. It was so damn hot... but it's almost night time... so it's fine... but i'm not used to eating outside... literally outside...but the food is good.. the caesar's salad is too sour than the ones in Manila... but the alfredo was yummy..

Then, we continued the celebration the next day at the Universal Studios in Resortsworld Sentosa :)

We had a blast! I love it there! It doesn't look like I'm in Singapore... hehehe...
The theme park is divided into parts: The Hollywood, Madagascar, Far Far Away, The Lost World, Ancient Egypt and New York..

I wanna go back when all the rides are open :)

outside the theme park, there's Hershey's chocolate world and Garrett's gourmet popcorn... yum yum yum... we did some shopping... hehehe...

but the highlight of the trip was Caloy's first wall climb... I got it in video..his bloopers and all :p it was a super fun day :)

then we decided to go to Vivocity and have some coffee... We needed an indoor chillout place with AC.... it was so damn hot :P

then we saw the movie 'The Losers'...

I think this the most Perfect (10) date of all time. :)

It’s been a long time since I wrote here. A lot has happened..
Been so busy with work, I only check my FB account on the way home, or at home before going to bed…
I’m turning to this over-busy workaholic.
Haven’t enjoyed any holidays – Chinese New Year, Holy Week. Been in the office working. Even all my Saturdays are dedicated for work.

Feb 22 – went to CGH for my rubella virus vaccine. Also marks the 3-month countdown.
March 14 – Roanne, Ariel and Nathan moved to AU.
March 18 – had a visitor in the house. Our very own Bing from HK! Spent 4 nights at our place.
March 29-April 1 – Ana was here in SG! Went to City Space bar and Clinic bar with Franz
April 2 – went out with the VROL QA team. Brewerkz & Bollywood Dhoom night! Night out with the boyz!

So I guess I still have a social life after all… not all work and no play..

2nd Checkup

Went to the clinic again for my blood test results and papsmear. The doc says all my hormones seems normal. Yay! Good News!

Another good news is that I'm not infected by the rubella virus.

The bad news is I'm not immune to rubella virus. The doctor advises that I should have a vaccine for it. So I'll have to wait until my period. Then have the vaccine. Then wait for another 3 months before trying. :(

It's my 12th day in the cycle, so the doc says it's a good time for a scan. She scanned me again hoping to see some follicles thingy in there. But there was none. :(
So we suspect that this month, I won't be ovulating.

She offers to give me some pills. But when I asked her about the side effects, I wouldn't want to take them anymore. :( She says that most cancer patients say that they had taken the pills. So it's a common denominator for cancer patients.

This is a very tiring day for me.

I feel really sad... Why is it so damn hard? When others just make it seem so easy...

Went to Dr.Mary's Bedok clinic to have a pre-pregnancy checkup. I've never been to an OB before. Yes! I know. I'm 30 and I need it! hehehe...

I was so nervous and excited at the same time. Nervous on what she might find out about me. Excited because we're so ready to hear the doctor say "you're ready to start a family"

Most of my friends go to this particular OB - Dr. Dolly Wee. I've heard lots of good feedbacks on her. But her clinic is too far (I'm so tamad to go there). So I decided to look for a good OB near our area. April recommended Dr. Mary Yang.

We told her that we've been trying for months, and we're unsuccessful. She asked if I wanted the hormone test, rubella thingy test, and I can't remember the other one test. I said yes. I want to be sure that nothing's wrong with me. She also recommended that Carlo gets tested too (we'll do it next week).

It was my 5th day of menses, so she said it's too late to take the fertility pills (should be taken on the 2nd day of menses). I was so shocked coz she's ready to give me some pills right then and there. I heard in Manila, the couple should wait for 12months (12cycles) of trying before they'll be prescribed of the pills.

She took a scan of me. She saw these 2 fibroids. But she says it's quite common in women. As of now, her conclusion is that I am ANATOMICALLY NORMAL. I need to go back on Thursday for the papsmear and the results of my blood tests.

We really like Dr.Mary. If ever we'll get pregnant, we want her to deliver our baby (babies).

I really hope the hormone tests is normal. *fingers crossed*

Just got home. Went out to see Sherlock Holmes. It was a nice movie. I think there's a part 2.

Next time, we won't see movies in tampi. The seats are not very comfy. We love the ones in cathay better. We'll explore downtown east next time.

The SCB Marathon 2009

The day has come. Woke up early to eat the powerbars (provided in the race pack). Then geared up and headed to City Hall MRT station for the race.

From the Bus stop, we could already see people with blue shirts (the SCB uniform). And we saw more people on the train. It got more exciting when we reached City Hall MRT. The whole crowd was wearing the blue shirt :)

Carlo went to the starting line. The Men's 10km started at 7:30AM. So I went to the esplanade to meet up with Pam and Nerie.

At around 8:00AM, some of the full marathon experts have finished their race. Lousy (half marathon) was on his 8th km already. We were about to start. Jog jog jog, wave wave to the crowd and to the cameras... hehehe...

After the 1st km, Nerie and I started walking. Until the 9th km I think... hahaha... We started running again during the last km. It was fun, exciting, and I remember I couldn't wait for it to end coz I was so hungry!

Carlo finished the race at 1hr and 24mins, and I finished at 1hr 49mins. Not bad for first timers. We got our finishers' medals. Woohoo!!!

After resting a few minutes, we went to raffles city mall to eat. We had lunch at The Asian Kitchen. Yummy chinese food!!! After eating, we went home. Couldn't wait to shower and sleep again. Hahaha.

Few days before the Marathon

A week before the Marathon, we got our Race packs already. We are so excited! It'll be our first race. Bahala na si Lord sa kin.. hahaha... basta my goal is to finish the 10km in less than 2hrs :)

Baked Dory Fish

I'm so excited to use the oven. So I tried baking this Dory Fish. And it turns out, it's just like the deep fried ones, but only healthier.

Ingredients:
Suchi fillet fish (but I call it Dory fish)
small lime
1 pack of McCormick Fish Nuggets

sprinkle the fish fillet with small lime. Then roll it with the fish nuggets crumbs. spray some oil or butter on the baking pan. Put the breaded fish fillets. Bake for about 10-15 minutes.

It's so easy and yummy. :)

Sides:
1) white sauce pasta, like the Prego Creamy white sauce.
2) Macaroni salad
3) mixed veggies (broccoli, carrots, etc)

The House Blessing

After a few days of cleaning and arranging the house, finally got the chance to have it Blessed by Father Angel.

He's a Filipino priest here in Singapore. He's the suking pari for most Filipinos. I just gave him a call, and he came right on time. :)

Bhernzy was the first guest to arrive. She actually volunteered to take photos using her new D90. :) The snaps are wonderful!

My whole family is finally here! I'm so happy. They booked their flights in March. And 8 months later, they're finally here... hehehe...

I'm so happy. They'll be doing the cleaning and the cooking for a bout a week. It's a vacation for me as well.. hahaha...

Only 1 more day in the office, and my 2week vacation begins :)

Finally finished packing. Had dinner with our Lousy House Family, and guests Jerome and Djix.

After dinner, the girls went up to RD and Tinee's room to watch Tinee's MTV. It was a fun night. Lots laughter (mostly pinagtatawanan lang at inookray ang MTV ni Beklah.) I'm sure gonna miss them... :(

We went to bed at 12midnight. My honey dozed off easily. An hour and a half later, he woke up saying he has backpain and abdominal pain. I asked him to take some meds, but he refused. After about 30mins, we decided to rush him to CGH. We called a cab and took my honey to the ER. He was wheelchaired in. The doctor said it's kidney stone. They injected some pain reliever and then gave him some more meds to take for about a week. And they scheduled him to see a specialist on Dec.1st.

Got home at around 4AM. He, again, quickly dozed off. Me? I couldn't sleep. I barely had slept at all! at 9AM, the movers will come in.

This is what our room for almost 3years and 8 months looks like now...

Night Out with Ana

The last time Ana was here was about more than a year ago.

We left the office early coz she needs to change her top. So we went to her hotel. Then she introduced me to a new drink (new for me)- The Cosmopolitan with grey goose vodka. It's a super yummy drink! I love it!

then we went to Clarke Quay at the Cafe Iguana to have some Margaritas. We met the rest of the QA team there. It was a fun night. It just ended too early. Around 10pm, I was home already!

Beef Broccoli

We've been trying to live a healthy lifestyle. So I had no choice but to cook everyday.

I had this beef (cut into shabu shabu style), marinated in soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, garlic, pepper. I stir-fried the beef, and then set aside.

I stir-fried the garlic and the broccoli. Then I added the beef, water and oyster sauce. Covered and simmered for a few minutes.

And voila. A super yummy dish. Carlo was so happy with the dish. Coz the first time I've attempted this dish, was 3 years ago. And it was a disaster! Hahaha. I think I put too much oyster sauce and salt. It turned out to be too salty.

I can say my cooking skills are improving now. :)

SCB Marathon

1st Viewing

A few days ago, we spoke with this Agent telling him about our interest in buying our own home. We were discouraged with the computations he presented to us. So we have accepted the fact that we can't afford a house this year. We were not prepared whatsoever. But anyway, the agent still scheduled a house viewing with us. So we just went ahead, and decided to go with the flow.

The minute we walked inside the place, we loved it! It's not too small, not too big. Just enough for a newly wed couple :) It's a 3 bedroom flat. The Master's Bedroom is huge. We were just thinking too bad we can't afford it.. hehehe

Then the agent asked us for our asking price. We were not ready to do a bidding. But okay. And the owner agreed to the price we were asking. So we had no choice but to make the 1% dowpayment. And think of other means for the rest of the 4%.

So there you go. Our first viewing turned out to be our first time to purchase a house.

I'm so happy and we're so excited to move in. Our agent says we'll be able to move in before Christmas. :)

Pancake Sundays

Sunday is our favorite day. Because it's Pancake Sunday! Caloy and I started this tradition last month. We'll have pancakes for breakfast every Sunday. So it'll be something special for both of us.

FYI, Monday to Friday, we always eat breakfast at Hola Cafeteria. And we order the same thing for a week: Roti Prata and Teh Si.

And so, Sunday is really special :p

I've been "Kulot" for more than a year now... I decided to have a hair extension thingy done on my hair.. So I booked an appointment right away... but Caloy and I were so tamad to go to the parlor in Paya Lebar, we decided to go to Tampi instead... We planned to see Ice Age 3... but as we were passing by the Jean Yip, I stopped by and asked if they can repair my super damged hair... hahaha... The lady said she can do it for $xxx.xxx amount... Ok.. Can!

Firstly, they put something on my scalp... a Scalp Protection thingy..

Then they put some chemicals... and let this autobot thingy roam my head...

And lastly.. the digital perming machine which looks alien-y :P

But the result is really amazing... haven't taken a photo yet... I'll upload it soon...

Singapore Idol

Sweet November in Manila (Part 3)

Day 3 - Saturday, my last day in Manila. Monette permed my hair. Then I had it cut short to remove the split ends. The results: it's too short! hahaha. I'm really not used to it til now. Oh well. Went to South Supermarket to buy some groceries. Then met Carlo and his family at Metropolis. We were going to CCP to watch Benj's ballet thingy. She's part of the PBT.

We arrived at the Harbor Square at around 7ish. Had dinner at Dencio's. Ate Shalom's treat! We had Kare Kare, Sisig, Grilled Pusit, and Crispy Pata. Yummy. Then we headed down to the CCP. The ballet was about Andres Bonifacio's life. So it's Andres in ballet shoes. It was fun. Really fun. Well, everything me and my hubby do is fun.

Oh! And after the ballet, Ann (Daryl's GF) saw us there. She also watched the ballet. hehehe. What a coincidence.

We got home at around 12 midnight. So tired. We still need to pack. But mom said we can go to bed and just worry about it after a few hours.

Popsie woke us up at 3AM! I was still very very sleepy. Popsie packed our luggage. Hehe. That's why we ended up bringing back home stuffs that we should've left in Manila (including the perfume, I bought for Aimee)

We were at the airport at 430AM, the queue was long. Lousy was not there yet (lousy nga e) We were worried coz our luggage weighed more than the allowed limit. But the lady was so kind to let us get away with our 34kilo-luggage since we didn't have any handcarry bags with us. Yey!

Got home around 10ish :p straight up to our room, turned on the AC and immediately turned our iPhones on. We missed our iPhones. Hahaha.

Overall, the whole trip was good. Just enough to be with friends and family. Just enough to use up my remaining VLs. Haha. :)

Sweet November in Manila (Part 2)

Day 2, Friday - Beklah and Boo's Wedding. Wokeup at 8AM (hehehe) had breakfast and got ready. Picked up Bhernzy and the Lousy boys at Mcdo San Pedro. Had a super fun joyride to Tagaytay. Had lunch at Leslie's. Look at our view:

We had Pork Sisig, Bulalo, Baked Mussels and Calamares. Yummy!

Side kwento, this is how the bathroom looks like. I thought, I had to literally pump the water pump thingy. hahaha.

After lunch, we went to Starbucks, had coffee and nice aircon. hahaha. The weather was really really hot. So we need AC!!!!

We arrived at the Calaruega Church around 2pm. People are still setting up the place. The ceremony started at 3:45pm (nobody won in the bet on what time it will start) My head was killing me! I had my period ok! Nice timing. Oh well.

We were part of the offertory thingy. But Lousy didn't take our photos. Grrr. The ceremony was nice. Rd and Tinee prepared their own vows. It was so kilig! hehehe. Then we went to the reception area. We were not able to have our photos taken at the photobooth because we were so tired :(

The ride home was shorter. We got home at around 10ish. Popsie drove Carlo home. I slept alone. It was cold. I missed my baby and my iphone. Hahaha.

Sweet November in Manila (Part 1)

Day 1 - Thursday, Our flight was scheduled at 10:35AM. Woke up at 730AM. Got ready and left home at around 8-ish. It was my first time in the Budget Terminal. I mean I've been there but never ever board the plane from there. Checkin was fine. Same as usual. Had breakfast at Hanis. Went thru the immigration. When we finally got to the Gate for boarding, I was so shocked! OMG! It was nothing like the normal international airport. Oh well, we only paid 382 for our tickets (2 way for my hubby and me). So, I can't complain. I just felt bad that my parents and siblings have been going in and out of SG thru that. They haven't seen how pretty the Changi Airport is. Oh well. Maybe next time, when I have super dooper lots of money.

The flight was not bad. Bhernzy couldn't sleep because of the cup noodles smell. I told her to stop being PG. But we eventually got hungry and gave in. She ordered the noodles and I had the ham and cheese croissant. I was expecting it to be hot just like in Jetstar, and it wasn't. Again, can't complain.

We arrived at the Terminal 3 in Manila, and I think it's good. The aircon is cold. That's what's important. Hahaha. We saw mom, and Jay and Alai. Then Popsie was outside with the car.

Went straight home. Had lunch. Menu: Grilled liempo, Grilled Tilapia, Grilled eggplant. Hehehe. All very yummy! I ate rice.

Then we went ATC but stopped at Dad's house on the way. ATC is still the same. Only a few minor changes. I shopped for maternity clothes (for Nerie). Then we met Fran and Daisy. They treated us for dinner. It was yummy. We ate at Razon's. We had Sizzling Bulalo and Halo halo for Desert. Super Yummy!

Then we saw the Twilight movie. It was not bad :P hehehe. Robert Pattinson is such a hottie :P hahaha. Got home at around 12ish. Carlo and I slept at my old room. In a single bed. Hehe.

Note: I was supposed to go to Makati, but couldn't make it. Also, we were supposed to see Tyrelle, but don't know what happened to her that night. hahaha.

Tacos Night

I made this from scratch... hehehe...

We didn't have soft tacos, so I used the frozen roti pratha (improvised!). I just sauteed garlic, onion, ground beef. And a little bit of water and salt and pepper :P Then I put a can of baked beans (in tomato sauce). Simmer simmer simmer.

I sliced the onion, tomato and lettuce.

I didn't grate the cheese. I just bought the shredded one (wise!).

It's sooo yummy. We're planning to make this every week from now on.

AT&T 80s Party

Went to Zouk last night to attend the AT&T 80s Retro Party.

Bumped into Alex, my former colleague at Access Worldwide.

It was a nice party. Free food and drinks.. hehehe.

I enjoyed the band, which is composed of AT&T employees:
Lead Vocalist - HR Head (Indian)
Lead Guitar - Director of Operations (American)
Drums - Former PLDT employee (Pinoy)
Bass Guitar - also a Filipino.. i don't know his story :p

I think it's so cool. They were awesome!!!

Tinola mania

I was craving for Chicken Tinola so I decided to cook. First attempt was yesterday. I went to the grocery store, but I didn't find Sayote. I was so sad. We just had dinner at the Banquet.

And today, I went downstairs (grocery store in our office building) and found Sayote! Yey! I also bought Spinach (coz I couldn't find any chili leaves) and chicken.

I immediately went home, washed my chicken and sayote and spinach. Sliced them up. And cook my very own version of Tinola..hahaha...

Went to Neptune Court Condo in East Coast to visit Luna and her Family. Mike (her husband) and Kylie (their daughter) greeted us at the door. We brought Sushis for everyone. Evan (their son) was so excited :)

went to true spa for a complimentary back massage and ended up getting their package :p

It was our first time in Cuppage Road (behind Centrepoint). We were so amazed coz it reminds us of Greenbelt 3. Lots of Restaurants and Bars. So many to choose from, and we just decided to have dinner at Bobby's Grill. The waiter thought we were tourists. Hahaha. But he knew we're from Manila.
